Many Bucks County residents have been to Shady Brook Farm for their popular seasonal events, such as the haunted hayride or holiday light show, but we recently discovered that there is a great reason to visit the Yardley farm on a regular basis- the Shady Brook Market.

We've talked a lot about local food movements throughout the area on Bucks Happening, and Shady Brook is another fantastic resource for holistic eating.  We were impressed by the variety of products farmed on Shady Brook's land- berries, tomatoes, corn, apples & pears to name a few. Check out the below video in which Uncle Dave, of Uncle Dave's Ice Cream, tells us about how Shady Brook carefully cultivates their tomato plants to find the perfect hybrids. If it's in season, it's available at their market while the Market's other products are carefully selected.  I personally can't get enough of their amazing homemade pies!
