Hanukkah takes place this year from sundown Sunday, December 22nd to sundown, Monday, December 30th. Celebrate the Festival of Lights at these upcoming community events.

Hanukkah Lights at the Bucks County Visitor Center

When: Now through January 4, 2020 from 9:30 a.m.t o 4:30 p.m.

Where: 3207 Street Road, Bensalem

Bucks County artist Jill Tarabar is presenting her one woman display of stained glass menorahs this holiday season.

Hanukkah in the Borough

When: Sunday, December 15 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: State and Hamilton Streets, Doylestown

This fun and interactive celebration will feature a sing-along session with Rabbi Sigal, a human menorah, hot chocolate and doughnuts. There will also be cookie decorating with jkidphilly, a prize drawing, and treat bags for kids. This event is sponsored by Temple Judea, a Reform synagogue located in the Furlong section of Doylestown Township.

Hanukkah Storytime

When: Sunday, December 15 at 2:45 p.m.

Where: 16 S. Main Street, Doylestown

The Doylestown Bookshop is excited to welcome Rabbi Sigal Brier for Hanukkah story time for adults and children 4-8 years old.

Menorah Lighting & Great Chanukah Gelt Drop

When: Sunday, December 22 at 4:30 p.m.

Where: 1501 N. Main Street, Warrington

Head to the Shops at Valley Square for a Menorah lighting, music, latkes, hot drinks, and a chocolate gelt drop.

Hanukkah Candle Workshop

When: Sunday, December 22 at 4 p.m.

Where: McCafferty's, 635 Heacock Road, Yardley

McCafferty’s is hosting a fun workshop for the holiday. Bring your own special light to your menorah this year. Experiment with awesome custom-made molds to make Hanukkah-themed candles in different shapes and colors. Plus, build your very own gelt launcher and complete to be the ultimate champion in the gelt launching tournament. This event is likely to sell out, so make your reservation now. J. Michael Swartz Memorial Event: Chanukah Fun at Glazier Jewish Center Featuring Eric Jones

When: Sunday, December 22 at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Glazier Jewish Center, 25 N. State St., Newtown

Celebrate the first night of Chanukah with a menorah lighting, fresh doughnuts, and a mystical performance by illusionist Eric Jones. The America's Got Talent Semi-Finalist Eric Jones performs some of the most spellbinding illusions imaginable! Tickets are $20 per person, $70 for a family of four and $105 for a family of six. Sesame Place Hanukkah Celebration

When: Monday, December 23 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne

Celebrate the Festival of Lights with Sesame Place’s first-ever Menorah Lighting Ceremony. Join a local rabbi, Baby Bear, who celebrates Hanukkah with his family, and more of your Sesame Street friends as they light the Menorah, sing songs, and celebrate the holiday! “Hanukkah Storytime with The Count” that will be taking place at 3:45 p.m. that day in Mr. Hooper’s Emporium. The lighting ceremony will take place at 4:30 p.m. across from the Sesame Street Neighborhood. Park entry ticket required.

Yardley Menorah Lighting

When: Monday, December 23 at 6 p.m.

Where: 56 S. Main Street, Yardley

Yardley Borough Hall will host a Menorah lighting with hot cider, latkes and music.

Light Up Doylestown

When: Thursday, December 26 at 5 p.m.

Where: 100 N. Main Street, Doylestown

The Bucks County Justice Center will host a celebration with an outdoor menorah lighting at 5 p.m. followed by music, latkes and doughnuts inside. There will also be crafts and a Ventriloquist Shlokes Show.

Hanukkah Celebration at Shady Brook Farm

When: Thursday, December 26 at 5 p.m.

Where: 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

Come out for fun and fellowship followed by the lighting of the giant menorah.

Lights and Latkes Chanukah Lunch

When: Monday, December 30 at 12:30 p.m.

Where: 300 E. Swamp Road, Doylestown

Enjoy a delicious Chanukah lunch featuring: “The Light of Fire,” a documentary film about the artist Yoram Raanan, who begins painting again after losing 40 years of work in a sudden fire. It's a story about resilience in the face of loss, a story about family, about faith, about searching. Duration: 30 minutes. Followed by  Q&A with Bentzi Avtzon, the director of the film.The lunch is complimentary, and donations are appreciated.
