What's better than cracking open an ice cold beer on a hot summer day? Thanks to the booming craft beer industry, thirsty beer enthusiasts nowadays can enjoy a wide variety of refreshing summer beers that don't sacrifice flavor. We sat down with the craft beer experts at Isaac Newtons, your 2015 Happening List winner for Bucks County “Beer Bar“, to get their recommendations for 10 summer beers to savor:

watermelon21st Amendment Hell or High Watermelon 4.9 ABV: What starts with a classic American wheat beer then undergoes a traditional secondary fermentation using fresh watermelon that delivers a very unique refreshing fruity taste.

Allagash White 5.2 ABV: A traditional Belgian wheat beer brewed with a generous portion of wheat and spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel, this beer is fruity, refreshing and slightly cloudy in appearance.

Firestone Walker Pivo Hoppy Pils 5.3 ABV: A classic German Pilsner with a hoppy Bohemian twist, brewed with German grown Magnums and dry-hopped with Saphir.

Sierra Nevada Summerfest Lager 5.0 ABV: Since their invention in the 1840s, Pilsener-style beers have become the world’s most popular style. With a nod toward the original Czech tradition, Summerfest is brewed to feature the best of Bohemian nature. Crisp, golden, dry and incredibly drinkable, Summerfest has a delicate and complex malt flavor and spicy and floral hop character—the perfect warm weather beer.

Against The Grain Rico Sauvin 7.6 ABV: Want a refreshing beer that still packs a hoppy punch? This beer is an India Pale Ale featuring Nelson Sauvin hops named after the Sauvignon Blanc grape, a variety of hop developed and grown in New Zealand. It has a strong fruity flavor and aroma that is described as resembling white wine, or fresh crushed grapes or gooseberries.

Ballast Point Wahoo Wheat 4.4 ABV: Brewed to be light and refreshing—with a unique citrus character that comes from adding orange peel and coriander to the boil.

Bockor Omer Traditional Blond 8.0 ABV: Traditional blond is made of excellent summer malted barley from the Loire region (France) and pure water. During the brewing process sugars are liberated that will serve later to nourish the yeast. During the cooking process 3 varieties of hops from Germany, Slovenia and the Czech Republic are added to give the beer the specific aroma and bitterness

Sea Dog Blue Paw Blueberry 4.6 ABV: Features the nutty quench of a wheat ale combined with the delightful aromatics and subtle flavor contributed by Maine wild blueberries.

Stillwater Contemporary Works Stereo 7.0 ABV: Bright citrus, stone fruit, pine, earth, dank, and crisp.

Vinational ipa dayctory Prima Pils 5.3 ABV: Dry and delightful, this is an elegant beer. Malts: 2 row German Pilsner malt. Hops: German and Czech whole flowers.
