The kitchen proudly supports organic farming, responsible animal husbandry and sustainable fishing and farming practices. This Thanksgiving The Golden Pheasant Inn is preparing a less traditional yet delightful feast and will be serving things like roasted duck breast with wild rice, sautéed green beans and a Swedish lingonberry sauce, or sautéed Alaskan halibut with smashed elba potatoes, creamed corn, with a citrus dill sauce! The Yardley Inn

The Yardley Inn has an extensive and interesting history and was once called the White Swan Inn, resurrected in 1832. It has had ups and downs over the centuries, and was eventually harmed by a disastrous flood in 1955, leading to its close a few years later. However, in 1979, it’s present owners brought it back to life as the Yardley Inn. This Thanksgiving, this picturesque inn will be serving up a large variety of traditional favorites, unique dishes, and even gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options, from 1pm until 7pm! Try their grass fed Filet Mignon, served with au gratin potatoes, creamed spinach, and chianti demi, or go with the Roasted Squash & Goat Cheese Cannelloni, served with besciamella, grated walnuts, fried sage, and parmesan. Finish it off with a traditional pumpkin or apple pie, or go for the Smoky Chocolate Cake, with salted almond butter and ganache! No matter what you choose, the Yardley Inn will make this Thanksgiving a meal to remember!

Black Bass Hotel

The Black Bass Hotel was built in the 1740’s and was a haven for river travelers, traders and sportsmen. The hotel once turned away George Washington, was victim to a massive fire, and has since hosted a list of celebrities and famous names. Although the hotel’s history is extensive, one thing has not changed – it’s rich tradition of fine dining and warm hospitality. This Thanksgiving, dinner will be served from 12pm – 8pm and will offer a 7-course prix-fixe menu that includes a main course and dessert buffet for $75 per person. You’ll start the night off with appetizers that, among other things, include a smoked salmon mousse, beef consommé, and rock shrimp with mussels in a fish veloute. Next you will be served a palate cleanser of cranberry sorbet before the main course buffet! Top the night off with one of the incredibly decadent desserts, and some coffee or tea.

Local Thanksgiving Turkeys

Serve your family a local farm, fresh turkey dinner from one of these local farms:

Bolton’s Farmers Market

These locally raised turkeys are available whole, in sizes from 10-40 lbs and each turkey contains a bag of giblets and a neck. Bolton’s turkeys are minimally processed and never frozen so you are taking home 100% turkey: no salt, no added water, no fillers, and you are saved the hassle of thawing! Fresh turkeys are packed in ice so they stay fresh until your holiday meal; this makes them cook faster than a traditional frozen turkey. Fresh turkeys are $3.69 per pound and must be picked up Tuesday or Wednesday if being used on Thanksgiving Day.  Pickup times are Tuesday from 8am – 7pm and Wednesday 7am – 5pm.
