This year at Camp NAC, they are excited to introduce a new lineup of camps that incorporate mindfulness, through the art of meditation and yoga. A few of their new favorite camps this summer season include: Food Art, Eat Fresh, Meditative Art, Be Our Guest and Tik Tok Dance.
Being mindful is having the ability to be fully present in the moment. When you practice mindfulness in your everyday life, you can decrease stress and sadness, and increase focus and happiness.
The NAC camp team looks forward to introducing this topic to their campers – so they can further explore how to incorporate it in their everyday life. Through meditation and yoga, they hope to have our campers learn practices that are modest and doable, while also gaining tools that they can use long after the summer is over.
At Camp NAC, they make it their mission to introduce new concepts to campers that inspire creativity, innovation and self awareness. Summer camp matters now more than ever, because it provides children with structured, extracurricular activities where they are engaged with friends and have emotional support.
This past summer, Camp NAC, followed safety protocols set forth by the CDC, WHO, American Camp Association, and local government. With this guidance, the NAC was able to successfully provide a COVID-19 free summer camp experience to approximately 600 children from June to August. The safety of each child has always been their top priority and will continue to be.
Summer camps provide a service to campers and to society at large. Camp is always important, but this summer it’s more essential than ever.
All Camp NAC’s 2021 activities are held on the Newtown Athletic Club’s 26-acre campus, located at 120 Pheasant Run, Newtown, Bucks County PA. Camp NAC’s summer program runs from June 7 to September 3. For more information, visit www.campnac.com.
