Register to participate in a 1 mile fun run, 5K, or 10K road race in the beautiful Washington Crossing Historic Park. It’s a great way to burn some calories before indulging in your hot dogs or hamburgers!
Newtown’s First Fourth

Newtown Middle School, 116 Richboro Road
This free event was recently included in Travel & Leisures Best Places to Celebrate 4th of July! The day includes a baseball game, re-enactment, and other activities before the fireworks display at dusk.
Central Bucks
Annual Tri-Municipal 4th of July Parade
July 4th 9:30AM
Beginning at the Town Center Shopping Center, Route 202, New Britian and ending at North Branch Park, 207 Park Ave, New Britian Township
Bring your lawn chairs and watch the parade, cheer on the marchers, bands, floats, and fire trucks. You can even join in the parade by contacting Jo Ann Lapp at the New Britain Township Office at 215-822-1391 or jalap@newbritaintownship.org.
Fonthill’s Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration
Fonthill Castle, E. Court St & Rt 313, Doylestown
July 4th 12-4PM
Enjoy a day of family fun, food, games, crafts, entertainment and live music, with a visual splendor of Henry Mercer’s estate as the backdrop. Join in the watermelon eating contests, sack races, tug-o-war, bucket brigade relays, town ball (19th century baseball) and the popular cakewalk. You can also sit back and enjoy some stirring good old-fashioned patriotic music or participate in a craft activity. There will be a selection of vendors offering a variety of summer time snacks and treats, or you may bring your own picnic and spread a blanket on Fonthill’s grounds. Fonthill Castle will also be open for self guided tours.

Quakertown Community Day

The borough’s Community Day begins at 8 a.m. on July 4th with a pancake breakfast and continues throughout the day. An amateur talent show will be held from 1:45 to 2:45 at Memorial Park on Mill Street. Other events include a car and truck show for stock and modified vehicles, games, food, music and entertainment, bingo, fire company water battles and baseball. Admission: free. A fireworks display will take place at 9:30 p.m. in the park.
42nd Annual Pennridge Community Day

An all day event for folks to celebrate the 4th of July. Attendees can expect food concessions, vendors, games, a patriotic concert, an all new crafter section, and fireworks!

Tickets are $26 per person and include a reserved seat in the private picnic area, 90 minute picnic buffet with a slice of apple pie, opportunity to watch post-game fireworks from the field to the first 100 to reserve, Sesame Place Pass, a Thunder hat, and a chance to meet a Thunder player from 6-6:30.
