Do you have any truck or tractor enthusiasts in the family? Do your kids like bulldozers, snow plows or fire engines? This weekend could be the perfect opportunity to let your children experience what it’s like to sit behind the wheel of these big machines (in a safe environment, of course). Sit in the seat, honk the horn and check out the interior of your favorite large vehicles – all in one place!
This Saturday (May 5th), Doylestown Township will host its annual “Touch-A-Truck” Event at Central Park. The event has been a huge success in previous years, and with the weather forecast looking like it does (80 degrees and sunny), Touch-A-Truck at Central Park could be the perfect opportunity to spend the afternoon outside enjoying the weather. This year, the township expects to have a fire engine, a police vehicle, an ambulance and various construction trucks all available for the public to see and experience.
If you haven't spent much time at Doylestown's Central Park, the event isn't all the spot has to offer. In addition to the township event, Central Park boasts walking trails, a giant kids castle, tennis & basketball courts, fitness stations, sports fields, and some beautiful pavilions. There's also an amphitheater that hosts events throughout the spring and summer. You can read more about all of Doylestown's great system of parks here.
Pre-registration is not required for Touch-A-Truck and the event, running from 10am-1pm, is free! (You may want to get there early, with the warm weather on its way, Central Park will likely be one happening place this weekend)
