Thanksgiving is this week, so that means that this weekend is officially the Holiday Season! There are so many ways to celebrate the holidays in Bucks County, so we're highlighting just a few of our favorite events each weekend. Here are our picks for November 23 through November 25. Santa Arrives at Shady Brook Farm
When: Friday, November 23
Where: 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley
Santa will arrive by helicopter at 3 p.m. to kick off the Christmas season. He'll shake hands and hand out candy canes before taking his place in the greenhouse. Free admission to see Santa land. Photo packages are available for purchase.
Doylestown 104th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
When: Friday, November 23 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: State and Hamilton Streets, Doylestown
Come out to see Santa light the Doylestown tree and enjoy the musical stylings of the Central Bucks West Choir. Stop by Santa's cottage for a visit at State & Hamilton Streets for a photo op with the whole family.
Bristol Borough Holiday Parade
When: Friday, November 23, 2018
Where: Mill and Radcliffe Streets, Bristol Borough
Ever year on the Friday after Thanksgiving, Mill and Radcliffe streets light up with wonder as the Bristol Christmas Tree Lighting commences. Santa makes an appearance and there will be live music, entertainment, refreshments, and caroling along the beautiful Bristol waterfront.
New Hope Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting
When: Sunday, November 25 at 5:30 p.m.
Where:
Parade starts at New Hope Solebury High School
Christmas Tree Lighting, Next to Logan Inn, 10 West Ferry Street, New Hope
The New Hope Holiday Parade will be stepping off from New Hope Solebury High School at 5:30 p.m. The Parade route will move east on Bridge Street, turning south onto South Main Street and proceeding to the south end of town for the Tree Lighting. The annual Christmas tree event will take place next to the Logan Inn. Festivities begin at 5:30 with Mr. and Mrs. Claus arriving at 6 p.m. There will be carolers, cocoa, cookies and more. If you can, bring along a toy to donate to Toys for Tots.
