Apple pies, apple turnovers, apple cider, apple butter, apple wine, apple fritters (I feel like Bubba in Forrest Gump!)…the delicious possibilities of this popular fruit are endless. Apples can be bought in hundreds of varieties, from red to green and pink to yellow, from tart to sweet and sour to bitter. Still, while apples are grown all year long, the fall harvest has a reputation for producing the best- darker, deeper red with sweeter flavors.

A few weeks back, we told you about our trip to the 70 beautiful acres of Solebury Orchards, hidden among the rolling hills of New Hope, where we hand-picked delicious apples of the season including Fuji, Keepsake, and Granny Smith (see video below). If you haven't taken a trip yet this fall, get over there before it's too cold!
