Is there any single worldly event that demands more energy than that of birthing and, of course, raising a child? Whether it be a religious tradition dated in centuries or a Friday-at-5 happy hour on Zoom, we have established ourselves as an inevitably social bunch. Showering a soon-to-be mom is, in fact, something we have also done for thousands of years and is likely something we will continue to do for, at least, the foreseeable 9 months. Have a pregnant mom-to-be in mind? Shower them with love, support, practical gifts, and most essential, a delicious brunch! Below, find a sample of local-area venues capable of providing the most memorable of settings.

Spring Mill Manor

Not only is it a beautiful golf course and country club, but Spring Mill Manor is a premier location for weddings, casual dining and private parties in Bucks County. There are several room options offering seating between 30 and 250 guests. Both indoor and outdoor options are available. The on-site restaurant can accommodate small parties in the solarium room, boasting large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The outdoor covered patio is open from April through mid-October and is equipped with fans and lights that overlook the putting green. Spring Mill Manor provides linens and napkins to match your theme, as well as tables to display your gifts and other decorations. Churchville Inn

The Churchville Inn is a recreated version of a 40-year-old Bucks County landmark. The beautiful inn was rebuilt from the ground up following a devastating fire in the spring of 2011. The Inn now features a state-of-the-art kitchen facility and beautiful social space to hold an adorable shower. They do offer private rooms and packages starting at 30 adults or more. It is recommended to reserve your date at least 2-3 months in advance. The Churchville Inn is located at 1500 Bustleton Pike, Churchville, PA 18966.

Pennypack Mill

Sitting along the Pennypack Creek, The Pennypack Mill was built in 1724. It is conveniently positioned in Montgomery County and originally constructed as a grist mill. In 2016 it was completely restored to its natural elegance. The restoration exposed all of the original wood beams, wood columns, and three fireplaces. Pennypack Mill now hosts a variety of special events on the first, second, and third floors, accommodating between 30 to 180 guests. There is an option for outdoor seating along the scenic Pennypack Creek where you’ll see ducks, geese, blue herons, turtles, and plenty of fish. There is an in-house chef that specializes in special occasions and events.  The Pennypack Mill is located at 18 Horsham Road, Hatboro, PA 19040.

Frenchtown Inn

Founded in 1805, The Frenchtown Inn was the town’s first hotel to serve the river and ferry traffic. Over the years it has evolved into a charming restaurant and event venue. The first floor has three beautiful dining rooms and a bar area. It also hosts the restaurant which has been perennially rated among the top in the state. The private rooms are able to accommodate between 15-80 people and are available for booking year-round. You have the availability to customize menu options and while preserving a unique experience in a quaint river town. The Frenchtown Inn is located at 7 Bridge Street, Frenchtown, NJ 08825.

Spring Mill Café

Spring Mill Café, positioned adjacent to Spring Mill Creek, consists of a restaurant and a farmhouse. The farmhouse was originally a stable that had been converted into an antique shop. Currently, though, it is available as the perfect space to hold your special event. The restaurant accommodates up to 40 seated guests while the farmhouse seats 30. This French country café is charming and quaint. It is close to the city of Philadelphia but retains its countryside feel. The Spring Mill Café is isolated and relaxed, yet close to major highways and hotels. Spring Mill Café is located at 164 Barren Hill Road, Conshohocken Road, Conshohocken, PA 19428.

Lambertville Station

Hunterdon County, NJ. There are five different spaces in the restaurant and inn that can accommodate group sizes ranging from 15-200 people. The Lambertville Station is able to provide all food and beverage services for a seamless event. Choose from either a brunch or lunch menu and enjoy an appetizer, entrée and dessert.
