Black History Month Storytime at Quakertown Library

When: Friday, February 21 from 10:30 a.m. to noon
Where:  401 West Mill Street, Quakertown

Celebrate the history and contributions of Black and African Americans with a special storytime geared toward children over the age of 3. There will be stories, songs, and activities.

Conwell-Egan Catholic Comedy Night with Joe Conklin

When: Friday, February 21 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Where: 611 Wistar Road, Fairless Hills

The Conwell-Egan Catholic Athletic Department presents a night of comedy with Joe Conklin. There will be light snacks, soft drinks and hot dogs, along with DJ music from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the school cafeteria. BYOB. No food or drink allowed in the auditorium. Comedy show from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $60 for rows 1-3. Get tickets here.

Mike Chet Beck Live at Bishop Estate Vineyard & Winery

When: Friday, February 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: 2730 Hilltown Pike, Perkasie

Come out to Bishop Estate Vineyard and Winery and enjoy some Friday night live music! Mike Chet Beck will be playing in the heated barn. Feel free to bring your own food or order from one of the local places that deliver. “Sip” back and relax by the fire pits or in the heated barn with a glass or bottle of your favorite wine. 

Bucks Live! Presents Benefit Production of ‘The Vagina Monologues’

When: Friday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Bucks County Community College, Zlock Performing Arts Center, 275 Swamp Road, Newtown

Bucks County Community College invites the public to a benefit production of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues. The event also marks V-Day, the global activist movement to end violence against women (cisgender, transgender, and those with fluid identities). To that end, there will be a post-performance discussion with the cast and representatives from A Woman’s Place, a domestic violence agency in Bucks County. Reserved seating for The Vagina Monologues is $10 for adults and $5 for students, with proceeds benefiting A Women’s Place. Tickets can be purchased online at www.bucks.edu/tickets or at the door. STEM Adventures at Kiddie Academy of Langhorne

When: Saturday, February 22 from 10 a.m. to noon
Where: 670 Woodbourne Road, Langhorne

Creative problem-solvers wanted! Watch science, technology, engineering and math come to life at this free family event. You and your kids will participate in hands-on activities and demonstrations that inspire them to flex their (and your) imaginations. Get ready to learn a lot – and have fun doing it!

Reading to End Racism

When: Saturday, February 22 from noon to 3 p.m.
Where: Neshaminy Mall Barnes & Noble, Bensalem

YWCA Bucks County is hosting its annual Reading to End Racism event to promote diversity and inclusion. There will be a visit and read-along of “I am Mixed” by children’s book author Maggy Williams. In addition, there will be arts & crafts, kids activities and a guest appearance by Princess Elena from the Sing Along Princesses.

Mardi Gras Celebration at Crossing Vineyards & Winery

When: Saturday, February 22 from noon to 7 p.m.
Where: 1853 Wrightstown Road, Washington Crossing

“Pass a good time,” as they say in NOLA, with a weekend of live jazz, beads, and beignets at Crossing Vineyards. Bring your krewe and enjoy drink and snack specials. Be sure to try a “CAT-5,” Crossing’s version of New Orleans’ infamous libation “The Hurricane.” Laissez le bon temps rouler!

Bob Stankard performs as the jazz great, sharing music and stories in a one hour performance.

Maple Syrup Time at Silver Lake Nature Center

When: Saturday, February 22 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Where: 1306 Bath Road, Bristol

Learn the basic steps of how trees are tapped for their sap so that it can be turned into delicious syrup. Help in the process of making this wonderful delight, and taste some samples too! There will also be locally-made Maple Syrup available for sale during the program. This event is $3 per person or $2 for Members. Register by calling 215-785-1177.

Pool Palooza at Doylestown YMCA

When: Saturday, February 22 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Where: 2500 Lower State Road, Doylestown

Bring the family for an afternoon of fun at the pool! There will be pizza, giveaways, and the inflatable WIBIT. Members are free. For non-Members, the cost is $20 per family. Register here, and enter keyword “POOL.”

The SEVEN Band & Friends Reunion Show at Five Four Bar & Grill

When: Saturday, February 22 at 8 p.m.
Where: 8919 New Falls Road, Levittown

It’s one of the biggest Seven band shows of the year featuring friends and old band mates! Great night of killer music from all generations. The Five Four was our 2019 Happening List Winner for Sports Bar. There’s never a cover for live music on Saturdays!
