First Friday on the Delaware in Historic Bristol Borough

When: Friday, May 3 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Mill Street, Bristol

Bristol Borough’s First Friday family-friendly events are back on May 3. Each month, the community comes together for an evening of live music, vendors, arts & crafts, entertainment and food. This event was voted a Finalist for the 2019 Happening List for Best Summer Event.

Summer unWINEd Concerts at Shady Brook Farm

When: Fridays, May 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

Shady Brook Farm kicks off their Summer Concert Series on Friday, giving you a taste of summer fun to come during spring. The weekly event is held on the Festival Field and features live music, wine tasting by Rose Bank Winery, local craft beer, food and tons of kids’ activities. The field opens at 5:30 so that you can come get comfortable before the music starts at 6. There is a $7.50 cover charge. This Friday’s live music is provided by Witzend.

Bird Walk and Touch-A-Truck at Doylestown Central Park

When: Saturday, May 4, birdwalk at 8:30 a.m. and Touch-A-Truck from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 425 Wells Road, Doylestown

On Saturday May 4, 2019 two events will be held in Central Park! First, the Environmental Advisory Council will host birding expert, Diane Smith for their annual spring Bird Walk. Please gather at Pavilion 1 (the pavilion with the bathrooms). This is a FREE event but please bring your own binoculars.

Then, are your kids fascinated by big trucks and machines? Join Doylestown Township’s Park and Recreation annual Touch-A-Truck event! This event is always well attended and will host various trucks and machines.

Washington Crossing Spring Brewfest

When: Saturday, May 4 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park – North, 1638 River Road, New Hope

The non-profit Friends of Washington Crossing Park is hosting its 9th annual Spring Brewfest, with all proceeds benefitting educational and historical programming in the park. Sample beers from more than 60 regional and national breweries (over 130 beers in total!), while enjoying live music and food vendors. This event sells out every year, so be sure to get your tickets ASAP.

Cinco de Mayo Festival at El Barrio Cantina & Tequila Bar

When: Saturday, May 4 starting at noon and Sunday, May 5 starting at 2 p.m.
Where: 1470 Buck Road, Holland

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at this indoor and outdoor festival! Look forward to live music, DJ, taco eating contests and more!

Kentucky Derby Day “Run for the Roses” at Crossing Vineyards

When: Saturday, May 4 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: 1853 Wrightstown Road, Washington Crossing

Get out your fancy hats and celebrate Derby Day with Crossing Vineyards! Enjoy drink specials (including their take on the Mint Julep), pre-race TV coverage and extended hours to see who takes the crown. No cover charge.

Northampton Day 2019 – CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN, RESCHEDULED SEPTEMBER 28

When: Sunday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 98 Upper Holland Road, Richboro (The former Richboro Middle School)

Join the community for a day of family fun! There will be more than 120 vendors, food trucks, rides and amusements and lots of free entertainment. Parking and admission are free.

NBA Welcome Day 2019 – CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN

When: Sunday, May 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Sycamore Street, Newtown

The Newtown Business Association calls this event “A Street Fair with Flair!” This annual festival features local artists, crafters and vendors, fun activities for the entire family, and tons of tasty eats along the street. Admission is free. The event is rain or shine.
