Now, what will you be doing to work up that appetite? Check out our recommendations: 

1. Kid's/Father's Day Fishing Derby at Peace Valley Park, Anglers Pier/Pavilion #1, New Britain: On Sunday, June 19 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. (Rain or Shine) take part in the annual Kid’s Father's Day Fishing Derby. Giveaways! Prizes! Awards! It is a catch and release derby for boys and girls ages 5 to 15 years in four age categories. Pre-registration is required on or before June 13, the first 100 registered get a free “goodie” bag. . The fee is $7/child or $13/family of 2 children or more. No refunds. Make checks payable to Doylestown Township Parks and Recreation Department and mail to: 425 Wells Road, Doylestown, PA 18901. Bring a bucket, bait, fishing pole, net, and barb less hooks. 2. Father's Day at Crayola Factory in Easton: Just North of Bucks County is one of the most colorful day trips you can take! All weekend long at the Crayola factor, dads get in for free with child’s paid admission. Saturday 9:30am – 5pm & Sunday 11am – 5pm

3. Ale Aboard! Father's Day~Beer Tasting Train in New Hope/Ivyland: During this 45 minute journey through scenic Bucks County passengers will experience a variety of ales, lagers, seasonal, micro & craft brews from around the globe. Also included in your ticket fare is seating in our vintage baggage car,a Brew Master's Platter, complete with bratwurst, sauerkraut, pretzel rivets with spicy brown mustard dipping sauce, smoked cheeses, bbq dip with chips & assorted nuts. *Passengers must be 21 years of age or older to enjoy this event

4. Wine Tasting for Dads:  There are several options at wineries across Bucks! First, treat your #1 Dad to an afternoon of food, wine and fun. Includes a five-course gourmet food & wine pairing. Cost: $65 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reservation necessary. Call 215-493-6500, ext. 19 or buy on-line at Crossing Vineyards. Also, Chaddsford Winery will offer ½ priced wine flights to all Dads. 10 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

5. Disc Golf/Mini Golf: Go beyond the traditional! Depending on your family, choose from a variety of golf courses, par 3's, mini-golf courses, and even Disc Golf (played with Frisbees!). Makefield Highlands in Lower Makefield offers a great driving range and public course. For mini-golf, try Golf Adventure in Fairless Hills or my personal favorite, Nifty Fifty's in Feasterville. Tyler, Tinicum, and Nockamixon Park all offer Disc Golf.

6. Rock Out with Dad: Does dad have great taste in music? Take him to one of the two Father's Day Gin Blossoms shows at Sellersville Theater or “An Evening With Robin Trower” on at 8pm, Sunday June 19th at Havana in New Hope.

7. Embrace your inner-history buff– Why not learn something while you're at it? There are so many ways to explore history and culture in Bucks County. Visit Craven Hall and the new John Fitch Steamboat Museum in Warminster,  Mercer Museum in Doylestown, and the beautiful Washington Crossing Park with the Thomas Neely House.  If it's a nice day, take a stroll along the canal or climb to the top of Bowman's Tower!
