Happy Halloween! Grab your costume and participate in some of this weekend's spooky, fun events. Movies are playing all weekend at Fright Fest at the Hopewell Theater. Take a spooky walking tour through Doylestown or enjoy apple dumplings at Harvestfest in Quakertown. Visit the grand opening of Newtown's new fitness studio and take a sample fitness class. Open House: Myth and Magic at the Museum
When: October 31st, 2 pm – 5 pm
Where: Glencairn Museum, 1001 Cathedral Road #0757, Bryn Athyn, PA
The Glencairn Museum is hosting another year of their popular, family-friendly, annual Halloween event – Myth and Magic at the Museum! Inspired by the Harry Potter book series by J.K. Rowling, this year's event will feature a brand new scavenger hunt, and even more magical and spooky decorations around the castle. Get sorted into your house at the Sorting Hat station, uncover the myths hidden in the museum's art and objects, and claim your fantastical prize at the end of the day. Costumes are encouraged!
Fright Fest Movie Showings
When: October 28-30
Where: Hopewell Theater, 5 Greenwood Ave, Hopewell, NJ
The Hopewell Theater Fright Fest has movies playing all weekend. On Thursday, October 28th at 7 pm, Poltergeist is playing. On Friday at 8 pm, The Shining is playing and on Saturday, October 30th there are two shows, at 1:30 The Witches is showing and at 4 pm, Beetlejuice is playing. Come in costume to get a free small popcorn or bottled water at concessions. Children 12 and under get in free at Fright Fest Matinees. The Matinee movies feature a photo booth with props and fun Halloween take-away activities. Get your tickets here.
Ignite Fitness Grand Opening & Charity Event
When: Saturday, October 30th 9:30 am
Where: 36 Richboro Road, Newtown, PA
Everyone is invited to the Grand Opening of Ignite Fitness, in support of Unite for HER, a nonprofit organization that provides breast cancer support and services. This charity has been selected by Co-Host Daughters' Defense. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9:30 am, followed by sample fitness classes, raffle baskets and merchandise for sale to support the cause.
Rugged Pumpkin Run
When: Saturday, October 30th, 8 am – 10 am
Where: Hellerick's Family Farm, 5500 N Easton Road, Doylestown, PA
Help fundraise for Rachel's Helping Hands Cancer Foundation. Run your way through Hellerick's Family Farm while holding a pumpkin, and yes, the last lap will have obstacles. The course is a 3k around the farm. Enjoy a fun, fall day and support a great cause. All registrations include a medal and a tech t-shirt or long sleeve. Come early to decorate a pumpkin.

Trunk or Treat for Kids
When: Saturday, October 30th, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
Where: 2235 York Road, Jamison, PA
Trunk or Treat outdoors at the Trunk or Treat event, hosted by Action Karate. You do not have to be an Action Karate member to attend, it is open the community. Pre-register for the event here and you'll get a free Action Karate goodie bag.

Trunk or Treat for Grown Ups
When: Saturday, October 30th, 1 pm – 3 pm
Where: Crossing Vineyards and Winery, 1853 Wrightstown Road, Newtown, PA
Trick or Treat for Grown Ups is happening at Crossing Vineyards & Winery this Saturday from 1 pm – 3 pm. Come out for a spook-tacular afternoon with some “scary” wine and sweets pairings, like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, M&Ms and candy corn. Costumes are encouraged!
Kids Halloween Party | Pumpkin Carving, Bonfire, Smores + More
When: Sunday, October 31st, 11 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Ash Chase Culinary, 1220 Reed Lane, Kintnersville, PA
Visit Ash Chase Acres, a small property located in Kintnersville, PA for Halloween pumpkin carving, smores by the bonfire and homemade cocoa. Costumes are welcome and encouraged. This is an outdoor event and there will be plenty of room to spread out. Read more about the event here.
Harvestfest 2021
When: Saturday, October 30th, 10:00 am
Where: Camp Men O Lan, 1415 Doerr Road, Quakertown, PA
Come out and enjoy food, family fun activities, including Harvest Quest, hayrides, petting zoo, paddle boats, live music, annual car show, campfire and so much more. The Camp Store will be open with new sweatshirts and mugs. Apple dumplings are available to preorder now or purchase warm to eat the day of.
Spooky Walking Tour
When: Friday, October 29th, 7 pm – 8:30 pm
Where: Discover Doylestown, 63 East State Street, Doylestown, PA
Discover Doylestown board member, Michael Kendrick, is the perfect host for a spooky walking tour through the Doylestown Borough. Join him on a 90 minute Halloween walking tour, featuring historical and pop facts as he leads you through town. The tour is perfect for ages 12+. Registration is recommended and spots are limited. Underground Tango Ensemble
When: Saturday, October 30th, 8 pm – 1 am
Where: 2030 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA
Saturday evening, enjoy a special night of music, celebrating beloved bandoneonist Raul Juarena, who passed away in January 2021. The Underground Tango Ensemble presents their first album, a tribute to the music of Raul Juarena, in a live concert. After the concert and a toast, there will be a Milonga Qilombo with live music. Registration is required for this event.
