Karen Thompson, founder and president of Lace Silhouettes Lingerie Incorporated (LSL Brands) was invited to host a spring fashion show during the Village Improvement Association meeting this month.
VIA members were able to purchase collections from three of Thompson’s stores; Signatures, Cotton Company and Sunflowers. Ten percent of the proceeds were contributed back in support of the VIA as well as donating catered fashion events such as Girls’ Night Out.
Jean Leister, VIA Program Committee Board Member, thanked Karen and her team for the entertaining presentation and volunteering their time.
The Village Improvement Association was the first Women's Club established in Bucks County with the mission to enhance the health and welfare of Central Bucks County and surrounding communities. The VIA general membership meets monthly in the James-Lorah Auditorium in Doylestown and reviews organization activities, plans and results. In 1923, the VIA opened Doylestown Hospital. Today, the VIA members continue to oversee the governance of this award-winning healthcare system.
