Wednesday, December 1st marks the first day of this year's Chanukah celebration. While sharing beloved traditions like lighting the menorah, enjoying latkes, playing dreidel and sharing gifts with family makes the holidays special, there are also many ways to celebrate the holiday along with the Bucks County community.
On Wednesday, 12/1, Kick of the first night of Chanukah at 6:30pm at the Menorah Lighting at the Bucks County Courthouse in Doylestown, PA followed by an indoor celebration with Latkes, Dreidels and crafts for kids. Free of Charge
Newtown will also join in the fun with a Chanuka Party and Craft Night from 5-8pm at 530 Washington Crossing Road , Newtown, PA. CBOI has got a LATKE Goin’On! Join them at this free event for games, singing, gifts and celebration!
The Kehillah of Bucks County invites the community to a Chanukah Celebration on Sunday, Dec. 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Shir Ami, 101 Richboro Road, Newtown. Enjoy a festive afternoon featuring kids craft projects, a 3 p.m. performance by children’s recording artist David Jack and the opportunity to purchase raffles for a basket of holiday goodies. Activities are free and open to all.
On Monday, December 6th from 4-6pm make your own Chocolate Fondue Menorah Treat by dipping fruits, marshmallows, & pretzels into chocolate at the Village of Newtown South.
On 12/7, close out the holiday at the Grand Menorah Lighting at Valley Square Shopping Center at 5:45pm. After the mangnificent Menorah Lighting, enjoy indoor fun for the whole family at the Borders Cafe with Chanukah Gelt, Latkes and Chanukah crafts, free of charge.
