As you may have previously read here on BH, the Heritage Conservancy hosted a Farm to Table Event on Saturday July 31st. About 125 people made it out to Lindsay Farm in Warminster to celebrate the “Bounty of Bucks County.” Guests first enjoyed a cocktail hour, with appetizers such as:
- Flatbreads with Heirloom Tomatoes, Fresh Basil, Roasted Garlic and Jamie Hollander Fresh Mozzarella
- Barbequed Chicken and Sweet Corn with Crème Fraiche on Crispy Tortilla
- Watermelon with Cucumber Jalapeno Carpaccio, Feta and Micro Basil
- Mushrooms portabella ceviche with Green Tomato, Chive, Cilantro and Cucumber
- Bolton Farm chilled deviled eggs
- Bolton Farms chicken tuscan with spinach and Flint Hill Farm ricotta
- Earl’s garden Sweet and Neat tomatoes with basil pasta salad and Rise Bakery crostini
Guests stayed cool on a warm day with lemonade and apple cider (cider courtesy of Solebury Orchards). The music of Bill Neale entertained the crowd while they perused a very robust silent auction list (over 19 baskets to bid on from almost 40 donors). Items ranged from “Brewer for a Day,” courtesy of Riverhorse Brewery, to “A Night for the Senses” package, which included gift certificates from Maize on Walnut, Peace Valley Winery & Siren Records.
Guests were then escorted to the dinner tent, which was surrounded on 3 sides by corn fields. Picture frames hanging from the open-air walls of the tent showcased the beauty of the farm vistas. Then dinner was served. The dinner menu included:
- Produce Table with bell peppers, carrots, onions, fennel, squash, mushrooms, String Beans, Beets
- 24 Hour Slow Roasted Pork
- None Such Farm roasted garlic sirloin steak carving station
- Succotash of Corn, Chanterelles and Fresh Shelling Beans
- None Such Farm asparagus and roasted corn salad
- Smoked Potatoes with Sweet Chiles
- Snipe Farm roasted potatoes/None Such Farm bulb onions
- Rise Bakery artesian breads
While diners enjoyed their dinner, they also enjoyed visually stunning floral arrangements, courtesy of Lilies & Lavendar. All hors d'oeuvres and entree items were prepared and served by our celebrity chefs, Dave from Jamie Hollander, and Dave & Chris from Earl's Bucks County.
As the sun set on Lindsay Farm, diners lined up for their desserts. Guests enjoyed a gluten free chocolate whipped cream strawberry shortcake (courtesy of Town Crier Bakery), rustic apple tart (also Town Crier), hand dipped ice cream from Owwow Cow, cookies from Maryanne Pastry Shoppe and fresh peaches from Manoff farms.

As you may have guessed by now, BH was not only there, but I (Angela) was one of the volunteers who organized the event. Our team had a fabulous time putting this together and are happy that we were able to highlight the deliciousness of our area. Great job to Robin Folkerts, Kim Arnold, Rebecca Dehaven, Michele Koch, John LaSala, Patty Phelps, Eric Donnelly & Jenna Rorer.
