From hair removal to sun damage, there's one important thing to remember: not all lasers are created equal.  We went behind-the-scenes with La Chelé Medical Aesthetics Owner Lisa Espinoza, MD for a deep-dive on cutting-edge treatments offered at La Chelé Medical Aesthetics.

Some good news for sun worshippers who didn’t get the sunscreen memo: whatever damage has been done can be reversed.

Just about any skin condition can be repaired thanks to cutting-edge laser treatments that direct short, concentrated, pulsating beams of light at the skin irregularity, removing it layer by layer until new, glowing skin appears.

But not any old laser will do. That’s where being guided by an expert will save you pain, agony, and in the end, money. That's where the experts at La Chelé Medical Aesthetics come in.

“We have lasers to treat age spots, lasers to treat acne, rosacea, and pre-skin cancers,” said  La Chelé Medical Aesthetics Spa Owner Lisa Espinoza, MD, with locations in New Hope and Newtown. “There are lasers for a lot of different things.”

The practice boasts 26 different cutting-edge lasers, making it the premier laser center in the region.

Laser and energy devices target different things such as blood vessels, brown spots or wrinkles. They get better each and every year and the best aging faces always have some form of laser or energy device used in addition to injectables. Many centers are overfilling people because they do not have or understand the power of laser medicine. The magic of La Chelé Medical Aesthetics is its ability to recommend what is best for a patient since we invest in the very best technology. We are proud to always offer the most cutting edge and up to date lasers on the market, states Dr. Espinoza.

The same is true for neuromodulators such as Botox or Dysport, less invasive treatments that require great skill to be done correctly.

“We have a team of incredible Medical Providers who are dedicated to the art of injecting. This is their passion, this is their life, and this is all they do,” she said.

Espinoza is a leader in her field, teaching others, training her staff, attending an array of dermatology, surgery and laser conferences and keeping in close contact with industry leaders to stay on top of the latest technology and trends.

“I love the book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell about the 10,000-hour rule.  I really feel that is very applicable to aesthetics. Someone injecting every day for 15 years is going to be better than someone who dabbles,” she said.

Espinoza estimates that La Chelé has performed more Botox treatments over the last two decades than 99 percent of other facilities in the United States.

The center and its staff have received rave reviews from clients.  On Google alone, more than 80 people have left glowing, 5-star recommendations, chronicling the level of detail and care that went into their visits.

“It’s great that the staff sets you up with a reward system that helps to save you money on future treatments. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience,” wrote a Pittsburgh woman who had accompanied her mother on her appointment. ”I will definitely be traveling back here to get any future treatments done.”

Each La Chelé client begins with a consult with a highly-trained, experienced team member. “Because we offer such a wide array of service, it’s very difficult to book an online service. There’s just too many,” said Espinoza.

The Medical Provider will craft a skin care plan that could include an injectable – which can take place that day – or a laser treatment, which is normally scheduled for another day.  Many skincare concerns can be corrected or softened with injectables or lasers after a few treatments, said Espinoza.

Keeping skin healthy, though, requires maintenance and good habits. Healthy skin-care routines, additional products to keep skin looking good and the opportunity to join one of the center’s Healthy Skin Clubs, which offers deals as a reward for sticking with a regime, are all discussed during the consultation.

“What makes us so great is not one person, but an incredible team of highly skilled Medical Providers/ Nurses, experienced medical aestheticians, Medical Assistants, and our Patient-Care Coordinators. This Practice is not about me. It’s about our team. We have this incredible group of 30 women who are powerful, brilliant and strong women. I feel very proud to be a female-owned business and employ so many women.”
