With the forecast for Halloween night looking questionable, you might be feeling even more pressure to fit in ALL the festive fun you can. After all, trick-or-treating might not be the BIG event we've been hoping for. Here's a list of Halloween activities this week (many inside!), so you can feel confident that your family celebrated Halloween big!
Very Cool Lights Halloween Show
When: Now through October 31 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: 901 Catalpa Road, Warminster
Very Cool Lights (a home in Warminster) has been putting on their light show for 5 years. They also do a Halloween show! Tune in to 91.1 FM from your car and enjoy the Halloween light show set to the music! If it's not raining on Halloween, the owners of the home will be handing out candy. And if it is raining, this is a great way to entertain the kids for a bit on Halloween night!
Canal-o-ween
When: Now through Saturday, November 2
Where: The Delaware Canal Towpath, leading north from the East Afton Avenue Bridge to the end of the paved road (North Edgewater Avenue), approximately 1/4 mile.
A week-long tradition that kicks off with the annual Carve-O-Thon on Sunday, October 27. Over 350 jack-o-lanterns will be set out along the 1/4 mile of the Delaware Canal. Click here for more details and tips.
PumpkinFest at Shady Brook Farm
When: Daily through Halloween; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley
There's still time left to pick the perfect pumpkin! Take a tractor ride out to the patch, go through the corn maze, visit the barn animals, and more. Weekday tickets are $10. (Children under 2 are free.)
The Not so Spooky Halloween Party at The Blinkinghouse
When: Now through October 31 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: 9 Franklin Street, Levittown
The Blinkinghouse is popular for its incredible Christmas display set to music, but did you know they also do a Halloween show?! Kermit, Animal, and their Muppet friends sing 6 Halloween songs played over your car radio at 92.9 FM. Many ghosts and other haunts dance to the music. Check out their Facebook page to see a video.
Halloween Bash and Romp n' Roll
When: Monday, October 28 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, October 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Where: 2856 W. Moreland Road, Willow Grove
Bring your little ones to Romp ‘n Roll for a not-so-scary good time. There will be crafts, games, raffles, activities in the gym and pizza. Costumes are encouraged! This event is $20 per child for Members, $25 for non-Members. Parents are free. Sign up here.
Screams in the Dark Hosted by BHS Drama Club
When: Monday, October 28 through Wednesday, October 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Bensalem High School, 4319 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem
Screams in the Dark is a haunted theater walk to support the Drama Club. The event is $5 per person. Enter by the flag pole.
Halloween Storytime and Parade at Warminster Library
When: Tuesday, October 29 and Thursday, October 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: 1076 Emma Lane, Warminster

Halloween Preschool Storytime and Parade
When: Tuesday, October 29 from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: New Hope-Solebury Library, 93 W. Ferry Street, New Hope
Join Miss Patricia and Miss Marge for a special Halloween preschool storytime and Parade! Read books, sing songs, and do crafts. Wear your Halloween costume in the Parade! For preschoolers age five and under and their caregivers. No registration necessary.
Newtown Township Halloween Parade
When: Tuesday, October 29 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Newtown Township Administration Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Newtown
Bring you little ones (specifically geared for kids 3 to 8) trick or treating around the Township complex. During the parade, you will visit the Police, Emergency Services, Public Works, Administration, Codes & Zones, Parks and Recreation and the Tax office. Mad Science will have a show at the end of the parade. This is a free event, but please pre-register at this link.
Lily's Hope Halloween Party at McDonald's Quakertown
When: Tuesday, October 29 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: 2 N. Westend Blvd., Quakertown
Lily's Hope Foundation is hosting its 3rd annual FREE Halloween Party at McDonald's Indoor Playground in Quakertown. There will be games, Halloween-themed crafts, and music. 20% of sales from walk-in or drive-thru will be donated to Lily's Hope, a non-profit organization that supports families with premature babies.
Halloween Storytime & Costume Dance Party at Quakertown Library
When: Wednesday, October 30 and Thursday, October 31 from 10:30 to 11:30
Where: 401 W. Mill Street, Quakertown
Sing songs, read slightly spooky stories and get in the Halloween mood with a costume parade around the library and dance party! If you can’t make it on the 30th, there will be another party on Halloween morning.
Halloween Open Play at Bouncing Off the Walls
When: Thursday, October 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 8919 New Falls Road, Levittown
Run, play and bounce! Have your child wear their Halloween costume to Open Play to receive $2 off. (Open play is typically $3 for crawlers, $8 for walkers up to 8 years old.) There will also be Halloween crafts available for purchase and a little treat on your way out. Bouncing Off the Walls is a 2019 Happening List Winner.
Halloween Storytime at Southampton Library
When: Thursday, October 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: 947 Street Road, Southampton
Come dressed in your costume for this Halloween-themed storytime and craft.
Halloween Storytime at Levittown Library
When: Thursday, October 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: 7311 New Falls Road, Levittown
Wear your costumes for a not-so-spooky Halloween storytime with books, songs and dancing. Wear your costumes because there will be a parade!
Not So Spooky Storytime and Costume Parade at Yardley Library
When: Thursday, October 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: 1080 Edgewood Road, Yardley
Children of all ages will have a blast with silly stories, songs, dancing, and a parade across the parking lot to visit friends at the Lower Makefield Police Dept. Costumes encouraged!
Halloween Storytime at Perkasie Library
When: Thursday, October 31 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: 491 Arthur Avenue, Perkasie
Wear your costumes for a not-so-spooky Halloween storytime with books, songs and dancing.
Trick or Treating at Philadelphia Mills
When: Thursday, October 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: 1455 Franklin Mills Circle, Philadelphia
Participating stores will have a pumpkin in their window.
Indoor Trick or Treating at Tullytown Fire Company Station 33
When: Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (doors will open at 5:45 if you'd like a spot to hand out candy)
Where: 100 Bordentown Road, Tullytown
The Tullytown Volunteer Company is opening its doors to provide a dry spot for trick or treating! If you'd like to hand out candy, contact their Facebook page or contact Karen Cohen at 215-430-1001.
Trunk or Treat at the Christian Life Center
When: Thursday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: 3100 Galloway Road, Bensalem
Trunk or Treat is a FREE EVENT for all children and their families! It's a safe and fun opportunity for kids to get candy from decorated cars with their parents. There will also be fun games and activities. A photo book, DJ and concessions (cash only) help complete the atmosphere for this fall celebration!

The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular
When: Now through November 3, Friday through Sunday
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne
To celebrate Halloween, Sesame Place is fully decorated for the holiday. Special features include three Halloween-themed shows, trick-or-treating, the Neighborhood Street Party Halloween Parade, characters in costume and more. Ticket prices vary, see site for details.
Specters and Spirits
When: Thursday, October 31 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Villa Vito’s Back Patio, 26 W. Bridge Street, New Hope
The Dram Devotees of Bucks County present the 5th Annual Specters and Spirits event. For those that are not yet aware, the streets of New Hope are notoriously haunted – quite possibly the most haunted town in America! The town’s history and that of American whiskey in Pennsylvania parallel in many ways. Discover where their stories cross. Each whiskey is thoughtfully paired with each of the six haunted sites on the tour. Guests will receive a gift bag with Halloween candy and their own tasting glass. Get tickets here.
Steam Pub Halloween Party
