Bucks County Orthodontics (a 2019 Bucks Happening List Finalist) recently launched a philanthropy-focused Kids Club. The program has kicked off with the initiative “BCO Supports Australia” supporting wildfire relief.

Philanthropy is at the center of Bucks County Orthodontics’ core values. Dr. Todd Welsh and the team at Bucks County Orthodontics are dedicated to giving back locally and support the community year-round. Currently, the practice donates $100 to the Doylestown community and surrounding areas for every new patient that starts treatment as an ongoing philanthropy initiative.

Kids Club

The practice has launched its Kids Club for patients who are too young or are not quite ready to start orthodontic treatment. The BCO Kids Club provides complimentary orthodontic growth check-ups every six months so that treatment can begin at the most opportune time. Dr. Welsh is committed to only starting treatment if necessary and when the child’s mouth and jaw are ready. Dr. Welsh strives to create smiles that will last a lifetime and always puts the best interests of his patients first and foremost.

Bucks County Orthodontics teamed up with local business Kampus Klothes to create T-shirts available for purchase to all Bucks County Orthodontics Kids Club members and patients. For a minimum donation of $20, Kids Club members and patients will receive the “BCO Supports Australia” Kids Club Koala T-shirt. BCO will donate the proceeds directly to the fire departments of Victoria and New South Wales, Australia, two of the most heavily impacted communities.

“We decided when we started our Kids Club, we wanted philanthropic giving to be at the forefront,” Dr. Welsh said. “With the tragic fires unfolding in Australia, we felt compelled to do our part to provide support and relief to the Victoria and New South Wales communities. In the future, we will pledge our support to other endangered species and causes by offering a variety of complimentary T-shirts for kids to choose from upon joining our BCO practice family. We will then donate to their cause of choice on their behalf.”

Children ages 7 and up are invited to receive a complimentary orthodontic evaluation. This will determine whether early treatment would benefit the child or to enroll in the Kids Club program if early treatment is not needed.
