Mother's Day is just around the corner! We know how stressful planning the perfect mother's day can be so Bucks Happening put together a list of our favorite events going on in and around Bucks County.  Take a look at all of the wonderful ways to make this mother's day extra special!

1. Take mom to a wine tastings! Try Crossing Vineyards: Wine Tasting for Moms, on Saturday 5/8 for a five course meal with wine pairings for $55 or check out Chaddsford Winery Mother's Day Weekend.

2. Heading into Philly to bring mom & the family on a scenic Mother’s Day River Tour: 1 PM at the Schuylkill Bank. For $25, leave Center City by boat and travel down the Schuylkill River to Bartram's Garden, America's oldest botanic garden. Disembark and tour the National Historic Landmark Bartram House and botanic garden, stroll the lawns and meadow, and browse the Museum Shop.

3. Or if water isn't her thing, try the Mother's Day Train Ride at the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad, Adults (12 & up) $48.00, Child (2-11 yrs) $24.00, Child (under 2) $8.00. Take a beautiful, scenic tour of the Bucks County countryside, while enjoying mimosas, assorted finger sandwiches and delicious homemade salads.

4. Go to a museum. Attend the Icons of Costume: Hollywood's Golden Era & Beyond at the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, which includes fashions and accessories worn by stars of the golden era of Hollywood through more recent films and television programs, including Academy Award productions. From 11am-4pm on Saturday, 5/8, the Mercer Museum will hold a special presentation by food historian, Deborah Peterson,about cooking in a log house.

5. Start the day off right with Mother's Day brunch: Go to the Black Bass Hotel Champagne Brunch in Erwinna to enjoy brunch in a historic hotel while looking over the Delaware river.  An A La Carte Brunch will be served at Earl's Bucks County, where you will also receive a coupon for $25 off your next Sunday brunch!  Or, if you want more than food alone, drive over to attend the Mother's Day Breakfast in Graeme Park for both breakfast and a tour of the Keith House to learn about the role of wives and mothers during the Colonial period while the kiddos are kept busy with a special craft. 6. For the Rock Star mamas, check out WOMEN WHO ROCK, presented by Puck Live at 6pm.  The brainchild of Puck manager Nancy Fitch, female fronted rock bands are featured at Puck for a $5 cover.

7. Go to the Theater.  “All Shook Up” featuring the music of Elvis is playing at the Bucks County Playhouse and “Closer Than Ever” is playing at the Bristol Riverside Theater (you can even take a sneak peek at the show here)

8. Take her out to the ballgame- to the Trenton Thunder Game that is. They are celebrating Mother's Day with Breast Cancer Awareness Day & the 1st 1,000 women get free Mother's Day Visors. Game starts at 1:05pm.

After all of these great events, take mom out for a memorable dinner. The Yardley Inn Restaurant and Bar will be serving a special Mother's Day Dinner Menu from 1 to 7.  The Sandbar in New Hope will serve a special classic Cuban southern cuisine (call 215-862-3030 to book).  The mother's day menu at Indian Rock Inn in Upper Black Eddy looks fantastic!  With reservations, Fisher's Tudor House in Bensalem will be accommodating parties of 15 or more for special mother's day celebrations.
