The Business Conference that’s So-Me!

Say the words “Silicon Valley” and major technology brands such as Apple, Yahoo, and E-Bay immediately come to mind. Say the words “Bucks County” and those images are replaced by farms, scenic river views, and covered bridges. Of course, we love those characteristics of Bucks County, BUT you might be surprised to find out about all the business & technological innovation going on in our own backyards. In fact, did you know that one of the biggest social media platforms, MyYearbook.com, was founded and is headquartered in New Hope, PA? Have you seen our very own tech start-up, Happenings Media, launching digital hyper-local magazines nationwide? Big things are happening in Bucks! Local marketer, Chuck Hall, saw the potential and founded the Social Media Business Life (SoMeBiz) Conference, which is happening on Wednesday, June 1st at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown.

Social Media is changing everything- the media, news organizations, community groups, businesses, and individuals. On the SoMeBiz website, Chuck points out how social media has allowed relationships with family members & friends to evolve as well as changed our buying patterns for products, services, food, exercise, vacations, social events, & just about everything. “We don’t need to go to Philadelphia or New York or the West Coast to learn about social,” he points out, “It’s right here, right now. And You need to be part of it.”

With thirty speakers lined up who will cover everything from Turning Social into Sales to Where do I fit in all this? to Facebook for Your Business, there is something for everyone throughout the five breakout sessions. Registration is open and there are also some amazing opportunities for students to get involved.
