The obsession is alive and well here. Some of my Bucks County tennis player friends have told me they “work to support their tennis habit.” Some belong to multiple indoor and outdoor leagues throughout the year. Others play privately in their own courts. Friendships are made. Rivalries are made. But one thing is for sure, Bucks County tennis is a whole different animal.
As players ramp up for spring tennis, our friends over at 40 Love Pro Shop (they are right across from the Starbucks on State Street in Doylestown) wanted to share 3 easy injury prevention tips with everyone. Bucks County young natives Maria Paone & John Curry are passionate about the game, and it shows through in their new business.

Another simple way to increase shock absorption is by changing the grip on your racket. Talk about bang for your buck, 40 Love re-grips rackets for $10 and the change in comfort and shock absorption can be a game changer.
All rackets are not created equal. John and Maria are extremely knowledgeable and can help you find the perfect your game by perfecting your racket. For example, a lighter racket with a heavy head is worse on a player's arm than a heavier racket with a light head. 40 Love has plenty of demo rackets to play with before you commit to purchasing your racket. That way you can be certain that your racket fits you as perfectly as Cinderella's slipper.

40 Love Pro Shop is at 6 West State Street in Doylestown. You can reach them at 215-348-1052 or at info@40loveproshop.com. They are open 7 days a week with hours til 7PM on Thursdays. Visit them online at 40loveproshop.com.
