We've caught Halloween fever! In addition to the spooky decorations, haunted houses and sugar rushes, there are so many simple ways to lift your Halloween spirits. We already shared tips on how to shop for a costume and told you about some amazing costume parties (like our bash at the NAC), but here are a few simple and cheap ways to fill our weekend with holiday fun.
Watch Scary Movies – Most notably, the Halloween movies – yes all eleven of them. The original, in my opinion, still reigns supreme even with its 1978 special effects. Other great flicks include Friday the 13th, Carrie, The Shining, Psycho, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Exorcist, The Rocky Horror Picture Show or if you want to go on a softer note, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
Bake Halloween Treats – Go outside the box and create creepy crawly, brain, daddy long leg, batty and eye ball cupcakes! Between jello Frankensteins, ghost bananas, caramel apple monsters, finger carrots, and apple bites you can have endless amounts of fun making Halloween snacks.
Apple bites!
Tell Ghost and Halloween Stories – Some of the most famous include The Legend of Sleepy Hallow, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide, Rip Van Winkle and The Raven. Or if you are looking for fun stories to tell your children, there are endless amounts you can tell or fill in your own words!
Sit with the family for ABC's 13 nights of Halloween – The Corpse Bride will air October 24th at 6pm, October 27th at 7pm. Practical Magic will be on October 26th at 8:30pm, and October 31st at 5:30pm. The Haunted Mansion is on October 27th at 9pm, October 28th at 7pm, October 30th at 4pm, and October 31st at 1pm. Hocus Pocus (my favorite) will air on October 30th at 8pm and 10pm.

See The Rocky Horror Show – From now until Halloween, see a live production of The Rocky Horror Show at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope. Shows run on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
And don't forget to enter your Jack-o-lantern or painted pumpkin into our contest!
