It's officially October, which also means it's officially Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Check out what's happening this month to find what you can do to support the cause. There are a variety of ways to participate whether that's running a 5k to going out for drinks to support the research, treatment, and recovery for those in Bucks and beyond!

Pine2Pink Events

Pine2Pink is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that paints towns pink during the month of October to raise money for local breast cancer patients. They host several events throughout the month that you can take part in to give back! You can also find Pine2Pink on menus and shelves of partnered local restaurants and businesses with special-themed offers to raise money. The Black Bass Hotel is serving Pink Lily and Pomegranate Fizz drinks paired with a Raspberry & Rose Opera Cake. Fox & Holly is promoting a try-on promotion, where every try-on of an FDJ jean will earn Pine2Pink $1. Find their list of events throughout Bucks here!

Peddler's Village Walk Pink Event

When: Saturday, October 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Bring out the pink outfits for the annual Peddler's Village Walk Pink event! Beyond the walk, participants will be served refreshments and horse d'oeuvres as a post-walk or fuel for the activity. Making Strides 5k

When: Sunday, October 16 at 8:30 a.m. check-in

Where: Cooper River Park – Jack Curtis Stadium

The American Cancer Society is hosting one of its “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walks in the greater Philadelphia and southern New Jersey area! Register ahead of time or at check-in to participate in the 5k. The event will start with a Survivor lap around the track, followed by the rest of the walk taken altogether. The event will also include music, photo opportunities, food trucks, browsing tents, and more! Sign up and donate here today.

Breast Cancer Awareness Event

When: Friday, October 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: The War Memorial Boardroom

Learn more about breast cancer, cannabis, and other resources available in the Trenton community from the area's health department. Listen and learn from unique breast cancer survivor stories and success stories of people of color in the cannabis industry! Throughout the event, enjoy cannabis-infused appetizers and a special pink cocktail. Other refreshments will be served and other beverages at a cash bar. Register for free online.

Healing Stream Breast Cancer Awareness 5k Walk/Run

When: Saturday, October 8 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Mercer County Park West Picnic Area

Attend Healing Steam's 12th Annual 5k walk/run to spread breast cancer awareness! Registration is $35 per person and teams of 10 or more are $30 per person with 11-year-olds and under free. Registration beings from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. with the walk starting promptly at 10:30 a.m. Get active for breast cancer and also enjoy live entertainment, food, and local vendors!
