Dinner and a movie is the classic date night. And Bucks County has so many wonderful restaurants to choose from. But if you want to get a little more creative this year, here are a few ideas. We've also included some tips of where to go, featuring our 2019 Bucks Happening List® Finalists and Winners. Make Your Escape
Why watch an action movie when you can experience the adventure yourself? Escape rooms are a great way to put your problem solving skills and communication to the test. This is also a great idea if you're looking for a group activity to do with other couples. Solve puzzles, find hidden objects, and decipher codes to see if you can find your way out before times runs out! There are now several escape rooms in Bucks County.

Visit a Museum
Museums are great places to explore, learn something new, and do something interactive your date.
Tip: “Treasures from the Library Vault: Valentines from the Archives”Mercer Museum in Doylestown, a 2019 Happening List Finalist, is hosting a special love-themed event titled on Thursday, February 13.
Paint a Masterpiece
Just about everyone has attended a canvas or wood painting party these days for a “Girls Night,” but what about for a date? Getting creative together is fun way to unwind while you show your artistic side.
Tip: The Uncorked Artist in Warminster is a 2019 Happening List Finalist. On February 14, The Uncorked Artist is hosting a Romantic Valentine's Day Celebration with a catered buffet, wine and beer.
See a Show
The classier version of dinner and a movie, go out to dinner a live show! Bucks County offers a variety of theaters with live performances, many of which are within walking distance of great restaurants.
Tip: Bucks County Playhouse, a 2019 Happening List Finalist, has two unique shows during Valentine's Day Weekend as part of The Visiting Artists Series. “One-Man Star Wars Trilogy” is February 11 through February 15 and “One-Man Stranger Things: A Parody” is February 15 and February 16.
Get Away
For many people, the only time you spend a night away from home is when you're traveling or going to an event like a wedding. But there's really something special about getting away from the daily routines of home life, even if you're staying somewhere nearby. Treat yourself and your loved one to a night at a local bed and breakfast so you can really relax and enjoy each other's company.

Go Dancing
Get physical … by dancing! Dancing is a fun way to let loose, get close, and focus on the partnership between two people. Sure, you could turn on your favorite music and have a little dance party in your own home, but for Valentine's Day, you might want to go all out and get some tips from the pros.
Tip: Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Doylestown was voted best Date Night in the 2019 Happening List. They're hosting a Valentine's Day Social Party at 8 p.m. on Valentine's Day.
Solve a WhoDunnit
Add some excitement to your typical dinner out by attending a murder mystery dinner! Enjoy your meal while you gather clues and try to figure out whodunnit.
Tip: 2019 Happening List Winner for Best Theater, Without a Clue Productions‘s February performances include “Crime of Thrones” at Fisher's in Bensalem and “Murder at the Moulin” at Peddler's Village.
Relax and Unwind
In a world where almost everyone is busy, busy, busy, taking time to relax and pamper yourselves can be a wonderful way to spend a day with your special someone. Maybe try a a yoga class together or get a massage.

Go Wine Tasting
Spend an afternoon or evening sipping wine at one of Bucks’s County’s wineries. (Or, if you’re feeling ambitious and can arrange transportation, you can visit the entire Bucks County Wine Trail in one day!)
Tip: Bishop Estate Vineyard & Winery in Perkasie, our 2019 Happening List Winner, is hosting a Valentine's Day Dinner on Friday, February 14 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fry's Catering and Philly Waffle Cabin will be on-site offering a la carte dinner and dessert choices. The tasting room and bars will also be open. No reservations are needed, it's first come, first serve.
