Applefest | Dublin Town Center
When: October 7, 10 am – 6 pm
Where: 123 North Main Street, Dublin, PA
Celebrate fall with a day full of all things apple. There will be face painting, apple treats, live music, giveaways, apple cider, special promotions and so much more. Check out the ultimate fall celebration at Dublin Town Center.
Hortulus Harvest Festival
When: October 7-8, 10 am – 4 pm
Where: 60 Thompson Mill Road, Newtown, PA
Experience the fall season at Hortulus Farm. Gather all the seasonal elements you need to decorate your home for the season – heirloom pumpkins, gourds and unique seasonal flowers. Bring the little ones to experience the children's activities and crafts. There will also be live music, fall themed fare, coffee and libations.
47th Annual Newtown Market Day
When: October 7, 10 am – 4 pm (rain date Oct. 8)
Where: Newtown Borough
Market Day is an annual Newtown tradition in its 47th year that takes place in the historic borough streets. It celebrates the colonial tradition of local farmers and homesteaders bringing their crops, livestock and homemade wares into town to sell to neighbors and townspeople. It has transformed throughout the years to feature high-quality fine artists, crafters, food artisans and a farmer's market. Market Day is family-friendly with colonial-era demonstrations, reenactments and activities. All proceeds from the event support the Newtown Historic Association.
“No Hope After Dark” | New Hope Railroad
When: October 6-31st
Where: 32 W. Bridge Street, New Hope, PA
Step into a realm of fun and thrilling activities with the revamped Halloween excursion on the New Hope Railroad, “No Hope After Dark.” This year is new and improved with a Halloween Festival spanning 100 minutes. This adventure will whisk you away into the eerie corners of the scare maze. The train will depart from New Hope to the festival at the unknown, where you will venture through the brand new haunted maze. Many nights will have food trucks available and live music. This excursion is recommended for ages 13 and older.
Comedian Sammy Obeid at Zlock Performing Arts Center
When: October 6, 7:30 pm
Where: 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA
Sammy Obeid, star of Netflix’s “100 Humans” is an American writer and stand-up comedian. He has released one comedy album, Get Funny or Die Trying. The New York Times described his comedy as displaying “an analytic style full of wordplay, clever misdirection, and ethnic humor riffing on his Middle Eastern heritage. He will be performing at Bucks County Community College on Friday, October 6th.
Downtown Yardley Walking Tour
When: October 8, 2 pm
Where: Old Library by Lake Afton, 46 West Afton Ave, Yardley, PA
Join Charlie Thomforde for a one-hour tour of the heart of Yardley. While strolling on Afton Avenue, Canal Street and Main Street, you will encounter the town's evolution from a single grist mill on Brock Creek to a thriving, diverse community. The Yardleyville Bridge, Delaware Canal, railroad, trollies, fire companies and life in a small town will all be included in the story. Old photos will be on display at the Old Library after the tour ends. Donations are $10 per person and reservations are required.

Fireside Ghost Stories | River House at Odette's
When: Wednesday, October 11th, 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Where: 274 S. River Road, New Hope, PA
For those who would rather enjoy New Hope's chilling accounts from the comfort and luxury of the hotel, River House at Odette's is hosting Fireside Ghost Stories at Odette's Overlook. These interactive evenings will feature an informal talk and Q&A with historian and Ghost Tour Guide, Carolyn Randolph. Specializing in Bucks County history, Randolph will present tales of the city and the surrounding towns to shine a new light on its fascinating past and the bold names whose presence still roam the area to this day.
A Night of Van Morrison | Newtown Theatre
When: Thursday, October 12th, 8-10 pm
Where: Newtown Theatre, 120 North State Street, Newtown, PA
The Newtown Theatre will present “A Night of Van Morrison” featuring Tupelo Honey. Tupelo Honey celebrates the man known by many names, including “Van the Man” and “The Master.” A musical legend, Van Morrison has written some of the most iconic songs in popular music. Tickets are available for purchase online.
