Apple Crumble at Steam Pub

Fall weather is here, so it's time to embrace the season with flavors like the ubiquitous pumpkin spice as well as apple and cinnamon. Plus, you'll be looking for comfort food dishes such as soups, chili, pot pie and more. Here's a list of some Bucks County favorites to get your mind (and your belly!) thinking autumn.

Steam Pub is going into the new season with a new (but familiar) Executive Chef, Michael Breslin, and an exciting new menu. Look forward to some new dishes such as the “Choo Choo Burger,” Crab Ragu, Clam & Crab Vongole, Pork Shumai, Shrimp Scampi and a Big Bleu Burger. Martin told us, “I always think of mushrooms as being fall.” This is highlighted in the seasonal burger featuring 8 oz. chuck, wild mushrooms, caramelized onions, bacon jam and Swiss and bleu cheese on a brioche bun. The Rockhill Filling Station – 2020 Happening List Winner for Breakfast

The Rockhill Filling Station is a favorite breakfast spot offering indoor and outdoor seating and takeout. During this time of year, you'll want to check their Facebook page for delicious seasonal dishes such as apple walnut pancakes and apple crisp French toast.

Papa’s Cupcakes – 2020 Happening List Winner for Cupcakes

In honor of the season, Papa’s Cupcakes in Perkasie has been adding a ton of fall-inspired flavors to their rotating menu of delicious cupcakes, cakes and cookies. Some of the recent cupcake flavors include caramel apple, caramel pumpkin, chocolate pumpkin, apple pie, and salted caramel. (Pkus, amazing cake pops for bite-size treats!) All cupcakes have a filling and are made from scratch. Pumpkin rolls are another favorite that always sell out fast, so be sure to follow on Facebook to see when they’re available!

AK Preps & Bakery (Aussie's Kitchen) – 2020 Happening List Winner for Healthy Food and Finalist for Best Kept Secret

AK Preps & Bakery makes eating healthy easy and delicious by providing food that is perfectly proportion controlled and packed with taste. The menu changes weekly, but soups and chili are back as a daily option. Look forward to flavors like lasagna soup and BBQ chicken chili. Order online through midnight Thursday for Sunday/Monday pick-up or Sunday delivery. Or, stop in during business hours for grab-and-go selections, healthy items and frozen yogurt.

The Perk – 2020 Happening List Winner for Burger

The Perk is known for its burgers, and it's everyday menu has plenty of comfort food dishes like French onion soup, chili and pierogis that are perfect for this time of year. But on top of that menu, you'll want to check out their seasonal specials like braised short ribs, pumpkin pie martini, autumn ravioli, and sweet potato chipotle bisque.

Plus, during the month of October, The Perk is offering a Pine2Pink Perk Raspberry Cosmo. A portion of sales will go to Pine2Pink to support local breast cancer patients.

Solstice

Solstice just opened in March 2020, right before the shutdown, but they're already getting quite a following. The restaurant specializes in seasonally inspired Modern American fare, and the fall menu features pumpkins, mushrooms, pears and more!
