Family Fun Presented by The Dance Academy

Your 2017 Fall Family Fun Guide is presented by The Dance Academy. Since 1987, The Dance Academy in Holland, PA has been offering professional dance training with a personal touch, instilling the love of dance to students and families throughout Bucks County. Under the direction of Miss Donnajean Kline (BFA in Dance, Temple University) and staffed by a group of highly-trained instructors, The Dance Academy has acquired countless awards and accolades each year at local, national, and international competitions. Through recitals, competitions, advertising publications, professional companies, and tours; Dance Academy students are spreading their passion for dance both here in the States as well as on international stages. Fall registration is now open.

The Shady Brook Farm Fall Fest 2017

Where: Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Rd. Yardley, PA 19067

  • Apple Fest is on September 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 & Oct. 1 from 11am to 5pm. Wagon rides to pick pumpkins and apples, both sold by the pound. The last wagon goes out at 4pm, field closes at 5pm.
  • Pumpkin Fest open daily from Oct. 6 to Oct. 31 from 11am to 5pm.
  • Pumpkin Fest After Dark is open Sept. 30, Oct. 6-8, 12-15, 19-22, 25-28 & 29 from 5pm to 8pm.

Doylestown Arts Festival

Don’t miss the largest outdoor, juried arts festival in Bucks County! Celebrating its 26th anniversary, the Doylestown Arts Festival is hosted by Discover Doylestown and presented by The Thompson Organization. The two-day festival draws thousands annually for a weekend of original art, featuring over 160 artists showcasing their creative works. Selections include paintings, photography, jewelry, wood & metal work, furniture, pottery and more. Five stages of live music and various activities will be featured throughout town. A variety of dining options are available at the festival’s food court and in the many unique restaurants that line the streets.

9-11 Memorial Garden of Reflection Remembrance In Light Ceremony

A morning Remembrance Ceremony will mark the chronological events to remember and honor those we lost with music and prayer.

“Stewards of the Legacy” will help honor the day. The ceremony will feature musical performances by the South Vocal Ensemble of Council Rock High School South, directed by Corey Axler, with special guests from Afton Elementary School students, directed by Laurie Gougher. Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 6:30PM.


Peddler’s Scarecrow Festival

New Hope Arts & Crafts Festival

Fall Pumpkin Festival

Where: Froehlich’s Farm & Garden, 3143 York Rd, Furlong
When: Saturdays and Sundays from October 1st – October 30th, 10am – 4pm

Take a scenic hayride around the 100 acre farm, find the perfect pumpkin in the huge pumpkin patch, get lost in a corn maze, and so much more! There will also be hot cider and s’mores by the bonfire. Admission and parking to the festival is free!

Yardley’s 50th Annual Harvest Day

18th Village Renaissance Faire- A Faire for a Cause

Newtown Market Day

Market Day is a well-attended and wonderful event featuring crafters, artisans, fine arts, entertainment and food. Over 50 crafters will present a wide variety of interesting crafts, and demonstrations will include: chair caning, quilting, and rug hooking. Our latest addition, a Farmer’s Market, will sell fresh-from-the-farm produce. Folk music, children’s activities, games, horse-drawn hayrides and a colonial militia encampment will be held throughout the day. Featured this year is a Puppet Theater in the Boone Garden. Local restaurants are participating in our Festival of Foods and Open Hearth Cooking will also be demonstrated.

Historic Fallsington Day

Where: 4 Yardley Ave., Fallsington

This time-honored event will feature folksingers, puppets shows, jugglers, Colonial dancing, and Native American dancing; demonstrations of Colonial (open-hearth cooking, spinning, basket making, and blacksmithing), craft tables, and book sales; tours of museum buildings, and local churches. Children’s activities, hayrides, bakes sales, a quilt raffle and a wide array of delicious food for sale will add to the festivities. This event is free and open to the public.

41th Annual Historic Bristol Day

Ghost Tours of New Hope
