2019 Sunflower Festival at Hellerick’s Family Farm

When: Now through September 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (tickets are for specific 3-hour time slots, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; 1 p.. to 4 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
Where: 5500 N. Eason Road, Doylestown

Hellerick’s Farm invites you to walk or take a hayride to their 2+ aSunfcre sunflower field. It’s a wonderful way to spend a relaxing late summer day enjoying and photographing a bit of nature. Admission is $12.99 for guests over the age of 3 and includes access to the Sunflower Fields, Sunflower Festival Tent and the Adventure Farm with over 40 family-friendly activities. Friday Night Live at the Newtown Athletic Club

When: Friday, August 30 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Where: 120 Pheasant Run, Newtown

Kick-off the long weekend with live music and fun at Bucks County’s premier outdoor oasis – Escape Resort at the NAC! Enjoy drinks, snacks or dinner while listening to some tunes. Escape Resort offers an adult pool, hot tub, fire pit and three bars – all open during Friday Night Live. Slidewinder Blues Band will be performing for this final week of Friday Night Live for the year. Find out more about the event here.

20th Annual Art in the Garden

When: Saturday and Sunday, August 31 and September 1 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Where: Paxson Hill Farm Nursery & Gardens, 3265 Comfort Road, New Hope

Over 90 local artists will transform the gardens with their diverse works of art from jewelry to tiles and oil paintings to fabrics. To satisfy your taste buds, there will be local food trucks Jules Thin Crust Pizza and Meat Wagon BBQ. The Straight Ahead Big Band will be performing two sets on Saturday. Admission is free, but parking is $3.

Summer unWINEd Concert with Fireworks at Shady Brook Farm

When: Saturday, August 31 from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Where: 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

Say goodbye to summer with a bang! This is the final week of the Summer unWINEd Concert and will feature music by Slippery When Wet and a fireworks show. Tickets are $12.50 and include access to lawn games, inflatable bouncing pillows, playgounds, and more for kids.

Labor Day Volksfest (Oktoberfest) at CannstatterVolksfest Verein

When: August 31 (12 p.m. to 10 p.m), September 1 (12 p.m. to 10 p.m.) & September 2 (12 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
Where: CannstatterVolksfest Verein, 9130 Academy Road (Northeast Philadelphia)

Located just outside Bucks County in Northeast Philly, Cannstatter Volksfest Verein is hosting its annual ode to Oktoberfest. The three-day event features German foods and delicacies, crafts, entertainment (various bands & musicians), prizes, games vendors and shopping opportunities all authentic to German culture and history. Passes are required and cost 6 for a one-day pass, $9 for a two-day pass, $11 for a three-day pass. Children under 12 are FREE!

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa Polish Fest

When: August 31, September 1, 2, 7 and 8 from noon to 8 p.m.
Where: 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown

This annual event features two stages of live entertainment and reenactors, midway rides and games, vendors, crafters and more. Plus, feast on pierogi, potato placki, golabki and other Polish and American favorites.
Admission is $12 per person.

Lower Makefield Township Community Day

When: Sunday, September 1 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: LMT Community Park, 1050 Edgewood Road, Yardley

Bring the family out for a day of live entertainment, rides for all ages, food vendors, a celebrity dunk tank and more! The event will end with a fireworks show.

Newtown Food Truck Fest: Summer Send-Off

When: Sunday, September 1 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Council Rock North, 62 Swamp Road, Newtown

Say “so long” to summertime by feasting on an array of food from 18 local food trucks. Feel free to bring blanket/chairs and four legged-friends. Parking is a suggested donation of $10, which will benefit the non-profit historic Newtown Theatre.

Sesame Place Labor Day Fireworks

When: Sunday, September 1 at approximately 8:25 p.m.
Where: Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne, PA

Following the 8 p.m. performance of the nightly Neighborhood Street Party Night Parade, enjoy a thrilling Fireworks extravaganza! Choreographed to the music of Sesame Street, the bursts of light and excitement will have the whole family in awe! Tickets are required to view from within the park, but you can always try to find a spot in nearby parking lots to view from your car. (Just be aware of traffic from the event.)

Longwood Gardens Fireworks and Fountain Show

When: Sunday, September 1 at 8:15 p.m. (held rain or shine)
Where: Main Fountain at Longwood Gardens, 1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square

Longwood Gardens isn’t actually in Bucks County, but it’s close enough that it’s an easy day trip. After enjoying a day in the vast and beautiful gardens, experience a captivating Fireworks and Fountain Show, set to the theme “Night At The Movies” and choreographed to musical scores from an array of popular films, including The Greatest Showman, Footloose, Grease and many more!

Morrisville Car Show and Labor Day Picnic

When: Monday, September 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Williamson Park, Delmorr Avenue, Morrisville

While it’s called a picnic, this annual community is event is really a festival complete with vendors, food, stage entertainment, kids’ activities and more! In the morning, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will also be a car show.

Art Week Doylestown

When: Monday, September 2 through Sunday, September 8
Where: Museums, galleries, storefronts and restaurants throughout Doylestown
