With only a little over a month left of summer before school's back in session, you might feel the clock ticking to fit in all that the season has to offer. Here's our list of must-dos before fall is here:

Watch Fireworks

It just doesn’t feel like summer until you watch fireworks! If you didn’t get your fill on July 4th, you can still get your chance.

There will be fireworks between New Hope and Lambertville on August 2. For the best view of the fireworks, join the party at the Lambertville Station Restaurant & Inn. Your $30 tickets ($40 at the door) includes 2 drinks and live music by The Strange Brew Crew.

Say goodbye to summer with a bang by going to Shady Brook Farm Labor Day Weekend. On Saturday, August 31, the Summer unWINEd Concert will feature music by Slippery When Wet and a fireworks show. Tickets are $12.50 and include access to lawn games and tons of fun for kids.

Friday Night Live at the NAC

Attend an Outdoor Concert

Music and summer nights just go together. From wineries to community ampitheaters, there are plenty of opportunities in Bucks County to catch some outdoor entertainment. Check out this section of our 2019 Summer Guide for a list of summer concerts.

And to get real vacay vibes before summer’s over, attend a Friday Night Live event at the Newtown Athletic Club.

Watch a Movie Under the Stars

While you’ll be hard-pressed to find a drive-in movie theater these days, Bucks County still offers ways to watch a movie with your family under the stars. In fact, it seems like our Weekend Picks lately almost always has one of these events. (If you’re not reading these weekly, we post them every Thursday!) Here are just a few coming up:

Univest Performance Center in Quakertown: Ralph Breaks the Internet on July 26

Croydon Acres Park: Dumbo on July 27

Newtown Lodge: The Little Mermaid on July 27

C&N Ampitheater in Doylestown: Incredibles 2 on August 15

Bristol Municipal Complex: Movie TBD on August 24

The Secret Garden at Memorial Park

Find a New Favorite Playground

Have you been taking your kids to the same playground all summer? Mix things up by visiting somewhere new! From small neighborhood spots to large state parks, Bucks County has plenty of places for kids to climb, jump and swing. Click here for a list of ten of the best.

Dine Al Fresco

Warm weather beckons us to eat outside! And Bucks County doesn’t want for great places to dine al fresco. Breathtaking views combine with history and a sense of community to make for some of the best outdoor dining venues around. Check out this list for just a sample of what the area has to offer.

Visit Your Local Library

Have you visited the library lately? In addition to the obvious (check out some nea books!), the library also offers tons of activities throughout the summer. Best of all, they’re FREE! Take the kids to enjoy the free playspaces and Summer Quest activities, or use some of the other available resources. Take a look at this article for more info.

Plan a Summer Date Night

Summer lovin' … When it's hot outside, it can be tempting to crank up the AC and just veg out with the latest Netfix craze. (Stranger Things Season 3, anyone?) But summer is also a great time to get out of the house and enjoy some one-on-one time with your loved one. From wine tasting, to shows, to exploring the beauty of the area, there’s something fun for every couple. Click here for some ideas.
