Pearl S. Buck International Festival of Trees

When: Now through Wednesday, December 30
Where: 520 Dublin Road, Perkasie

Each year during the Annual Festival of Trees, the rooms of Pearl S. Buck’s iconic Bucks County stone farmhouse come alive with the glow of holiday decorations. The event showcases beautiful trees and vignettes designed by Bucks County’s best artists, decorators, and local community groups to convey the spirit of Pearl S. Buck’s legacy as an author, humanitarian, and activist. Even though this year will look a little different due to COVID-19 protocols, the Festival of Trees remains one of the most unique and historic holiday traditions in the region. Festival of Trees will run from Saturday, November 14 – Wednesday, December 30, 2020. There will be no tours on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, or New Year’s Eve.

Christmas Excursions on the New Hope Railroad

When: Now through December 30
Where: 32 W. Bridge Street, New Hope

The New Hope Railroad offers two Christmas-themed train rides: Santa's Steam Train Ride (a Steam Locomotive powered excursion) and the North Pole Express Train (a Diesel Locomotive Powered Excursion). Both rides are a 1-hour roundtrip from New Hope to Lahaska.

This year, they're also debuting a brand new experience: Santa's Private Railcar! After deboarding the train, passengers will be able to visit a magical railcar to get photos with Santa in his workshop.

Historic Fallsington Holiday House Tours

When: Fridays and Saturdays, December 4 through December 19 at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Where: Historic Fallsington, 4 Yardley Avenue, Fallsington

Experience the Christmas festivities of the village’s past during private, guided tours for small groups through 3 historic buildings. How did they decorate? What foods did they eat?
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for this special tour to keep tour size to 5 visitors. Event will take place rain or shine, please dress for the weather.

Christmas Tree Painting Event at Color Me Mine Oxford Valley

When: Friday, December 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: Oxford Valley Mall, 2300 Lincoln Highway, Langhorne
Paint a beautiful ceramic light-up Christmas tree! Paint it traditional Grandma way with our Glass Green specialty glaze. All the trees come with pin lights and a light kit. Additional charges apply for specialty glazes.
A $10 deposit is required and applied to your purchase. Paint from 9 inch or 14 inch tall tree, Christmas tree votive, and other Holiday ceramics. Just pay for ceramics and studio fees for painters. Space is limited with spaced-out seats to maintain social distancing. Masks are required. Recommend for ages 8 and up. (This is geared more toward adults but is older-kid friendly.)

Breakfast with Santa at the Newtown Athletic Club

When: Saturday, December 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 120 Pheasant Run, Newtown
Come enjoy a warm holiday breakfast with Santa Claus! This event will be held in the NAC Brown Gym. It's open to the community and costs $10 per child, $15 for adults. (It's free for Members.) Additional activities include family photos, letters to the North Pole, ornament crafts, raffle prizes and more! Limited reservations are available. Find out more HERE.

Hanukkah Celebration at Sesame Place

When: December 12, 13 and 18
Where: 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne

Visit Sesame Place on December 12th, 13th 0r 18th at 4:30PM for their Hanukkah Celebration at the Neighborhood Theater! Learn about the story of the Jewish Festival of Lights, listen to traditional music, and watch the Menorah Lighting Ceremony. The celebration will be led by a local cantor, Grover, and Baby Bear, who celebrates Hanukkah with his family.

This event is included with park admission. Seating is limited and the event is first come, first served.

Fonthill Castle Holiday Lights Meander

When: Saturday and Sunday, December 12 and 13 and 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. with 30-minute timed entry slots, every 15 minutes
Where: East Court Street and Route 313, Doylestown

Explore the special 2020 Holiday Lights Meander route with your loved ones and spend 30 minutes gazing at the splendor of the holiday decorations of historic Fonthill Castle on your own. Knowledgeable tour guides will be available along the holiday route to answer your questions and make this a seasonal experience to remember for the whole family.
Tours will be limited to 6 per timed entry to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for a new date or time. Tickets are $20 Adults/$15 Member Adults/$10 Youth (6-17)/$5 Child (5 and under).

Newtown Socially Distant Santa House

When: Saturdays and Sundays, December 5 through December 20 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Newtown Fire House, 14 Liberty Street, Newtown

This is a free family event presented by the Newtown Mercantile Group. Bundle up and wear a mask!

After Hours “Holiday Edition” at Crossing Vineyards

When: Saturdays in December from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: 1853 Wrightstown Road, Newtown

Enjoy live acoustic music in the heated outdoor tent. Sip on a festive holiday beverage and snack on some yummy treats from their Light Bites menu (and slices of pizza) while you take in the lights of the vineyard. No cover charge. Please contact them in advance if you're a group of 7 or more.
