Annual Newtown Irish Festival at Green Parrot

When: Thursday, March 12-Tuesday, March 17
Where: Green Parrot Restaurant Pub & Patio, 240 N Sycamore St., Newtown

During the 10th Annual Newtown Irish festival, the Green Parrot Restaurant Pub & Patio will be at the heart of the celebrations, featuring live entertainment and Irish dishes for the length of the festival!

St. Paddy's unWINEd Weekend at Shady Brook Farm – CANCELLED

When: Friday, March 13 – Sunday, March 15
Where: 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley

Shady Brook Farm is hosting three days of Irish music, Irish dancers, Irish food, drinks and loads of fun. It kicks off Friday night with the last Winter unWINEd concert of the season, then music and dancing all day Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Come eat, drink and be Irish!

* Fri 3/13 – The Mix from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
* Sat 3/14 – Celtic Pride from from 1 to 5 p.m.
* Sat 3/14 – Gone to the Dogs from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
* Sun 3/15 – Celtic Pride from 1 to 5 p.m.

Fonthill Castle Evening Tours

When: Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 with tours leaving between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Where: East Court Street & Route 313, Doylestown

Delight in the splendor of an evening at Fonthill Castle, home of Henry Chapman Mercer and an early example of reinforced concrete architecture. Discover Mercer’s renowned ceramic tiles during these intimate 45-minute guided evening tours of the castle’s unique rooms and artifacts. St. Patrick’s Day Parade – CANCELLED

When: Saturday, March 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: New Falls Road, Levittown

Like the Philadelphia and Conshohocken Parades, Bucks County recently decided to cancel the parade. You can visit their Facebook page for more information.

St. Patrick's Day Celebrations at The Five Four Bar & Grill

When: Saturday, March 14, opening at 9 a.m.
Where: 8919 New Falls Road, Levittown

The parade is cancelled, but The Five Four is still celebrating! Come in for breakfast and live entertainment all day long! Family friendly fun during the day and then 21+ after 8 p.m.

“Pie Day” Storytime and Activities at the Quakertown Library – CANCELLED

When: Saturday, March 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: 401 West Mill Street, Quakertown

There will be special stories, songs and activities to celebrate Pie Day!

Free Family Play + Community Day at Newtown Discovery Preschool – STILL ON!

When: Saturday, March 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 27 Blacksmith Road, Newtown

Newtown Discovery Preschool is a brand new preschool powered by the Newtown Athletic Club and slated to open in September 2020. Come see what it’s all about at their Grand Opening party! Explore in The Village, take a ride down the slide, climb the outdoor playground + face painting, balloon animals, crafts & a special Disney character appearance from Frozen’s Elsa & Olaf!

Irish Fest 2020 at Triumph – Open but without entertainment. Serving Irish food specials.

When: Saturday, March 14 from noon to midnight
Where: Triumph Brewing Company of New Hope, 400 Union Square Dr, New Hope

Starting at noon, a day filled with Irish Music, Irish Food, and of course Irish Beer! Family friendly – there will be face painting and a balloon artist from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Live music starts at 1 p.m.

Traditional Irish menu is available March 13 through March 17th. In addition to Saturday, there will be live music on Friday night and Sunday afternoon.

Saturday Storytime Featuring Pete the Cat: The Great Leprechaun Chase

When: Saturday, March 14 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: Barnes & Noble, 210 Commerce Boulevard, Fairless Hills

Will it be Pete the Cat's lucky day or will he learn that luck takes work in this charming book? Find out at Storytime, and stay for delightful activities afterward!

Leprechaun Hunt at Peddler's Village

When: Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15 from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Peddler's Village, 2400 Street Road, New Hope

The leprechauns are at it again! Families can hunt for gold coins throughout participating shops of Peddler’s Village. Collect ten or more gold coins, and bring them to the Hospitality Desk located in the Cock ‘n Bull lobby to receive a prize from the Pot ‘o Gold!

The Irish Marketplace

When: Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: 22 S. Main Street, Doylestown

For the third year in a row, The Main Street Marketplace is turning into The Irish Marketplace for Saint Patrick's Day! Come out with the family and enjoy live music all day, Bagpipes, Irish dancers from Ryan Kilcoyne School Dancers, and a whiskey tastings. There will be amazing food from 3 great restaurants and drink specials from Hops/Scotch.

Purim Carnival at Congregation Tifereth Israel – POSTPONED

When: Sunday, March 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: 2909 Bristol Road, Bensalem

All are welcome at Congregation Tifereth Israel's annual Purim Carnival! There will be lots of family-friendly fun, including face/body painting, by one of the entertainers from Pretty Princess Jersey / Pretty Princess Philly. The face painter will be in-costume/in-character as a princess character; she would be happy to pose for pictures and interact with the event attendees, when not actively painting. Kids and adults alike are invited to come in costume to this event. There will be plenty of things to see and do, including carnival games and a video game bus.

3rd Annual Shamrock Shuffle: Beer and Wine Village Stroll

When: Sunday, March 15 starting at noon
Where: Peddler's Village, 2400 Street Road, New Hope

Celebrate the love of the Irish culture with the merchants of Peddler's Village.

General tickets cost $30 and include:

– Exclusive drink/food specials at partnering bars & shops
– A printed village map
– A St. Patrick’s Day inspired Tote Bag
– Lots of beads and accessories to choose from
– Photo Booth with props
– Check-In location with featured Irish Appetizers and refreshments. A complimentary beverage!

Dip It Green for St. Patrick's Day! with Newtown Fun – POSTPONED

When: Sunday, March 15 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Newtown Township Administration Building, 100 Municipal Drive, Newtown

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by baking and decorating green treats. Mint chocolate chip cookie dough balls and shamrock cookies are just a few treats junior bakers will make and take home. In addition to making treats, there will also be a holiday-themed storytime. This event is for children ages 4-8 (and a parent) and costs $18 for residents, $22 for non-residents. Register here.
