Emmet Cohen and Jimmy Cobb Performance at Bucks County Community College

When: Friday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m.

Emmet Cohen will perform along with drummer Jimmy Cobb. Emmet Cohen is a multifaceted American jazz pianist and composer. He’s considered one of his generation’s pivotal figures and aims to honor the jazz masters. Get tickets here. 8th Annual Race 4 The M.I.N.D.S.

When: Saturday, October 5 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where: Peace Valley Park (Sailor's Point), New Galena and Myers Road, Doylestown

4 The M.I.N.D.S. (a 501c3 non-profit organization) is hosting its 8th annual 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run. Compete for awards in overall male, overall female and age groups. Register online now, or register on-site starting at 8 a.m. The 5K starts at 9 a.m. and Fun Run starts at 9:45 a.m. Proceeds support 4 The M.I.N.D.S. weekly support group, group outing and more. Get Fit with Pink Yoga at Bloomingdale's

When: Saturday, October 5 at 9 a.m. (doors open at 8:30 a.m.)
Where: Bloomingdale's in Willow Grove Park Mall, 2400 West Moreland Road, Willow Grove

Enjoy a morning yoga class before the store opens that will benefit Bloomingdale's Pink Breast Cancer Awareness initiative! Your $10 reservation fee will benefit The Carey Foundation and the Marisa Acocella Foundation. Walk for Life & 5K Run

When: Saturday, October 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Park at 4th Street and 4th, Quakertown

Proceeds benefit Crossroads Pregnancy Care. Register online at this link. On-site registration opens at 9 a.m. Start time for the 5K Run is 10:15 a.m. Participants of all ages are welcome. A 1/2 Mile Fun Run for kids under 10 will start immediately after the Walk/Run. There will be entertainment and games for the whole family.

Newtown Historic Association Market Day

When: Saturday, October 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 105 Court Street, Newtown

NHA Market Day is an annual outdoor event that celebrates the colonial tradition of farmers & crafters bringing their food, animals, and wares to town to sell to their neighbors & townspeople. It is our proud tradition to feature high-quality crafters, artisans & fine artists; colonial demonstrations; entertainment for all ages; and food from local restaurants. Estimated annual attendance at this free event is 3,000+ patrons. NHA Market Day is organized by a team of volunteers, and all proceeds support the Newtown Historic Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit association dedicated to the to the preservation of Newtown’s historic heritage.

Morrisville Borough’s Food Truck & Music Festival

When: Saturday, October 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Williamson Park, N. Delmorr Avenue, Morrisville

Mommy’s Lil’Black Book is hosting another great food truck event with over a dozen food trucks, children’s activities, live bands and vendors. Admission and parking are free. Just a few of the food trucks include Chuck’s BBQ, Corn Hub, Hailey Quinn’s, The Little Sicilian and Dog Gone It Dogs.

Bensalem Fall Festival: Celebrate Community Pride Day

When: Saturday, October 5 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Penn Community Bank Ampitheater, 2400 Byberry Road, Bensalem

The entire family will enjoy this full day of entertainment with a car show, amusements, vendors, live music and more. There will be a 6 p.m. concert featuring the Urban Guerilla Orchestra followed by fireworks.

Perkasie Fall Festival

When: Sunday, October 6 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Menlo Park and in the town center with free buses running between

The theme of this year's annual festival is “Fall Football,” and you'll find performances by Pennridge Cheer, Marching Band & Color Guard as well as appearances by the Rams. New this year, there will be prizes at the cornhole tournament, a wing eating contest, crazy hair by Dragonflies Salon, and an interactive sidewalk chalk art installation. Returning favorites include a petting zoo, pony rides, crafts, live music, pumpkin decorating, scarecrow making and more! Almost every activity is free.

Bucks County Plain Air Festival

When: Sunday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Bucks County Community College Newtown Campus, 275 Swamp Road

Bucks County Community College has once again joined award-wining artist Alan Fetterman, the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County, and the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce to host the fourth annual Bucks County Plein Air Festival. The festival features 30 artists from across North America who have been selected competitively by a juror to create art “en plein air,” or “in open air,” throughout picturesque Bucks County that week. After several days of outdoor painting through October 4, the festival culminates in two days of celebration at Bucks County Community College in Newtown. On Saturday, October 5, a VIP Collectors’ Preview & Pre-Sale Reception takes place in historic Tyler Hall. That will be followed by a free festival on Sunday, October 6 at the college’s Newtown Campus, with quick-draw competitions, live music, entertainment, sculpture tours, and an art exhibit and sale.
